Classic Restaurant Revival! Annisa Featuring Chef Anita Lo
April 13 2024 | 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM132 Mulberry Street, No. 502, New York, NY 10013
Guest Chef: Anita Lo
Our Classic Restaurant Revival series proudly features our favorite iconic NYC restaurants of bygone days. For this installment, we are pleased to host Chef Anita Lo, a culinary icon, cookbook author, and restaurateur of the much-loved West Village institution, Annisa, revived in our intimate setting for one night only!
Annisa (which means ''women'' in Arabic) was an intimate, upscale Greenwich Village staple from 2000-2017, serving Contemporary American cuisine, earning a Michelin Star, a three-star review from The New York Times, and accolades for “Best Chef” from Food & Wine magazine and the Village Voice. In 2005, Anita Lo also co-founded Rickshaw, a dumpling bar with several locations in New York City, and in 2008, she opened Bar Q, an Asian barbecue restaurant in Greenwich Village. For this exclusive dinner, chef Lo will revisit dishes from her beloved restaurants, including a few new surprises, too!
Chef Anita Lo's second book, SoLo: A Modern Cookbook For a Party of One, will be available for sale through our ticket purchase page. All book sales proceeds will support Common Threads, a national nonprofit organization that provides cooking and nutrition education to children in under-resourced communities.
As always, there will be plenty of wine and merrymaking of the kind we are known for at every Chef's Dinner Series event! Chef's Dinner Table, a private culinary salon tucked away in a downtown NYC loft, offers the ultimate experience in luxury private dining.
Note: all food, drink and gratuities are included with your ticket purchase, so you don't need to worry about settling a bill at the end of the night.
