Read the Room celebrates... Transformation

132 Mulberry Street, No. 502, New York, NY 10013

Welcome to READ THE ROOM, series of readings by some of New York's leading writers. Our guest readers represent a broad cross-section of the literary world, featuring authors of published works from top magazines, newspapers, websites and books.

For this installment, we are celebrating a Read the Room regular, Nikki Vargas, and the publication of Call You When I Land, “a soul-stirring memoir from a Colombian immigrant and travel journalist, whisking us through the countries that brought her new love, self-discovery, and the inspiration to launch the first international feminist travel magazine, Unearth Women.”

In addition to Nikki, we have four renowned writers sharing their stories of “Transformation.”

Marina Budhos, author of Where We All Have

Matt Gross, author of The Turk Who Loved Apples

Melinda Hansen, The New York Times

Kathleen Squires, The Wall Street Journal

Not only are we serving up a buffet of contemporary literature, but as food-lovers, we are also sharing wine by Vino Del Sol; food by Despaña and Jose Gourmet ABC+; plus, beer, soft drinks  and a book giveaway to keep the juices flowing.

So, come on down to Little Italy and get your culture on!
